pedophiles

I have to admit that I probably won't read either of your books, but your chapter in volume 2 entitled The Media certainly intrigues me. I was initially offended by your comments about middle-aged white men being the face of pedophilia. The recent arrest of the white male who kidnapped two young boys in Missouri, one of which for four years, is disturbing and disgusting. Equally disgusting is the recent arrest of the white male who had over one million child-porn images in his Pennsylvania home, and also video footage of sex with children between the ages of 3 months old to 12 years old. When you factor in the endless high-profile abduction/murder cases that we've seen over the years it paints a very disturbing and consistent picture. As a true conservative, I have always favored racial profiling, because to me, it just makes perfect sense to follow the people who are committing the crimes. As a parent, I have to admit that it also makes perfect sense to follow the people who are committing the crimes against our children. After watching Dateline's To Catch a Predator, it's quite obvious that black and hispanic gang members are not the people praying on America's children via the internet. Unfortunately, it's people who look like me, and in the future, this is what I will be teaching my children. I care more about my children's safety than my personal racial pride. So I guess in that regard, Mr. Wooten's book has opened my eyes. Thank You.
Should We Teach Our Young Boys This?
by Nicholas 2/17/2007 @ 10:48:22 AM
Mr. Wooten, I applaud you in your campaign to promote self-esteem in black males as a whole. However, as a young black male, your glorification of fornication is not setting a good example for young black males. We have too many young males having premarital sex without being responsible. That's because older males like us are setting a bad example, or being hypocrites. In turn, these males have babies, don't know how to raise them, ditch the mom and the cycle repeats itself. By the grace of God, I haven't repeated this cycle, but books like this won't make the problem better. We've got to promote monogamous relationships and teaching our boys more than just how to screw. Our boys can figure that out on their own. We've got to teach them responsibility not nymphomania.
READ THE DAMN BOOK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!!

Mr. Wooten, I also applaud your literary effort. I also applaud your patience. It must be extremely difficult to continually face ridicule from people who don't even have the common courtesy to read your book before denigrating it. Anyone who takes the time to read your book would know that it does NOT promote promiscuity. Why people continue to take things at face value is beyond me. Then again, we live in a nation that re-elected a man like George W. Bush. Obviously there's a lot of people out there who don't take the time to learn about something before they vote, or in the case of this book, speak.
Does size matter
by Bob 5/22/2007 @ 9:35:43 AM
Yes, the contact information is fake; I'm not too big on giving out personal information. Hopefully that doesn't cause what I have to say to be ignored. I wanted to comment on your "Does Size Matter?" test. I'm a white male, and I say yes. But I think the test oversimplifies; it doesn't ask WHY size matters. I happen to run a bit larger than average; I'm not saying some porn-star or "Dear Penthouse" size, just bigger than the accepted averages. I don't necessarily see that as a great thing; my girlfriend is afraid of oral sex, and it's easy to hurt her if I go in too deep or too fast. I don't want to hurt her, so I have to be on my guard all the time during sex to prevent that. So, while males may have a tendency to think "bigger is better," I'd say that argument is questionable. I'd honestly be surprised if I was the only one who felt this way. Or maybe I'm just hoping that my gender is better than that as a whole. Peace.
